Earl Inman (Owner/Company Operations)

After high school I enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Upon discharge I returned to St. Louis. I was employed at two furnace companies and was trained in their service departments as a canvasser and worked as an apprentice for three years on servicing furnaces.

I got married and with a growing family, we made the decision to start my own company. Inman Heating & Cooling became a reality in 1964 - 52 years ago. All my children worked with me at one time or another. Most of their work consisted of riding with me on days they were off school or helping out over the summer months, canvassing for furnace services and ductwork cleaned. They actually assisted with the cleaning. In those days coal was the common source of fuel, so you can imagine what they looked like after a day of cleaning soot out of the ductwork. Their mother had the outside hose ready when the cleaning truck pulled up the hill.

Our children started getting married at a "rapid" rate so when it came down to downsizing our home, we made the decision to move to Columbia, Illinois where our two youngest children attended school. This was a very good move for our family and for growing our business.

In 2007, my youngest son Craig joined me in the heating and cooling business, and we continue to serve customers in the St. Louis and Metro East area. Our referral business is our greatest pride.
I have been married to my wife Josephine, for 60 years in November, 2016. We have raised eleven (yes 11) well-rounded children. We have 25 beautiful grandchildren and 5 great-grand children - whom we enjoy spoiling. We are family oriented and anyone who can make it comes to our home for Sunday dinner. Our family makes Sunday a special day.

Craig Inman (Owner/Company Operations)

Craig is a former police office who helped with the family Heating and Cooling business on his days off to make ends meet. 10 years ago he decided to make a career change and started working with Inman Heating and Cooling full time.

Craig attended Lindenwood University on an athletic scholarship. Craig took Administration of Justice classes to pursue his dream of becoming a Police Officer. After college Craig attended Police Academies in both Illinois and Missouri, where he became a Certified Police Office and worked for 10 years. My father was always worried for my safety and approached me about working full time, so in September 28, 2007. I have three kids and a beautiful wife that I needed to provide a better income and safer career. I called my Dad in wee hours of the morning and asked if the deal was still on the table so my new career started.

My Dad instilled in me a work ethic that is second to none and that the customer comes first. I have been working with my Dad since I was old enough to carry a tool box. I was the official flashlight holder. I would work with him during the summer and almost every Saturday throughout the year.

We provide 24/7 service 365 days a year. How many service technicians provide you with their personal cell phone number?
